New program

Free Ray-Ban Meta glasses for eligible blinded veterans

Meta launched a national initiative to provide Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses at no cost to eligible legally blind U.S. veterans. AI for the Blind helps connect qualified veterans to the program and supports training.

Basic eligibility

Program requirements can change, but the national initiative is intended for U.S. military veterans who are legally blind. Proof of veteran status and a compatible smartphone may be required through the distribution channel.

Availability matters. Distribution procedures, event requirements, documentation, and supply can vary. We confirm the current pathway before telling someone where or how to receive glasses.

What the glasses can help with

  • Reading printed text and documents
  • Identifying objects and surroundings
  • Hands-free voice interaction with Meta AI
  • Calling, messaging, audio, and everyday smartphone-connected tasks
  • Learning a new accessibility tool with guided training

Our role

We focus on outreach, navigation, setup, and training—not just handing someone a box.

Confirm the current eligibility path

We help identify the correct national or nonprofit distribution route and what documentation is needed.

Support intake and coordination

We help the veteran understand the process and prepare for the distribution requirements.
